About us

Hi, I’m Brent Nixon. My family and I are based in Dereel, 30 minutes south of Ballarat in Victoria. We keep our bees in and around the Golden Plains Shire of Victoria. I studied genetics at university and have been using those skills to better understand methods for breeding bees. I owe a lot of my practical knowledge to Joe Horner, a great queen breeder from New South Wales.
