A push in cage is a small cage about the size of a CD case that can be used as an extra safe introduction technique. When you are ready to put your new queen into your colony, take her out of her transport cage and place her on a frame of brood that the bees have been shaken or brushed off. Place the push in cage over her so that no bees can get it and place it back in the colony. She will be fed through the cage by outside nurse bees. While she is in the cage the brood will hatch out under her. After 3-5 days you can take the cage off and she'll be accepted.
